I've Been Featured in a Podcast!

I am totally addicted to podcasts and think they are the best thing ever.  You can learn so much about so many different, diverse subjects and the entertainment factor is out of this world!

Well, imagine my surprise when today, on my way to my new job, after a big home move, to be driving down the freeway catching up on my podcasts.  I really like the "Pursuing Meaningful Work" podcast with Brent Green.  He really does inspire me.  I was listening to him and Howard Sheppard do their joint podcast from June 26th and they mention that they are going to give advice on sales for 2 people.  Then they mention Kim Tyler from In Craft We Trust.  OMG...that's me!!  I screamed.  I nearly crashed the car.  I blushed...I get embarrassed easily, you know.

Anyway, those 2 guys were so cool and gave such great advice on my Etsy store.  You will see changes coming soon.  What a shock.

Here is a link to the podcast--it is also available on iTunes:  http://tinyurl.com/34bpvnr
Check out Brent's website at http://leadershipequipnetwork.com and Howard's at http://www.lifebeyondtheassemblyline.com/.  They are 2 people that really enjoy helping others!!

The "I Hate Moving" Sale is on!

Everything in my Etsy store is buy 1, get 1 free until Sunday, June 20th.  I am moving and I want to pack the least amount possible.   I will also be temporarily shutting my store down, probably for 2-3 weeks.

Did I mention that I hate moving?

Moving Sale Coming Soon!

I will be relocating soon, so in order to clear out some of my stock, I will be having a moving clearanced sale soon.  I have so much stuff to move, I would rather sell at a lower price than move more boxes.

This book is great, BTW :)

Gleek!

My new gleek buttons are starting to sell.  So exciting--I love the show Glee!  I only started watching it in the last 4 weeks, so I am late to the game, but I completely "get it".  I am a closet gleek!!

More CD Sleeves

I have plenty of new CD sleeves I have been sewing up, but I know I need to create something else.  They are just so much fun to make and very functional.  I have paper that will last me for a bazillion years.

Boomboxes and cell phones

Dresses, circles and clotheslines...all with glitter

If you have an idea you would like me to make with some of my many papers, let me know....I love sewing paper!

XOXO

CD Sleeve Craziness

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged.  A loooooooooong while, but I vow to make this a part of my life.

CD sleeves had been taking up my life for a while.  I have so many new ones to sew with amazingly-great patterns.  Seriously, there is something for everyone.  If you're not familiar with my CD sleeves, they are hand sewn pieces of beautiful cardstock specifically designed to encase individual disks in a pretty way.  They make great gifts, too.  Here's a link to some of them that I have done lately:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/incraftwetrust?section_id=5001098

I did a big custom wedding order for a summer wedding and it was so much fun to do.  I experimented with gold lurex thread and multiple layers, so it became tedious and time-consuming, but in the end, the bride was happy (that's all that matters).

I will be experimenting with more "sleeves" soon, some for your papers & corresponding CDs.

I am so glad learning to sew when I was 12 years old has become a useful thing.
